North Korea

Hello to all of my readers,
Today I would like to write about North Korea.
Recently I have read an article about a man named Sheen Dong Hoyk, a North Korean man who managed to escape from camp 14, the force camp in which he and his family were born and lived.
People live there in horrifying conditions that do not enable proper living or living at all. Those people are treated like animals, if not worse.
North Korea is a dictatorial state in which whoever dares to say something bad about the government is sent to the force camps, in which they are tortured and forced to work 24/7 for a little quantity of food. Sheen managed to escape after an educated man named Park arrived to the camp. The two of them had to work together and they became friends. Park was telling Sheen about all the things they were missing, and so they decided to run from the force camp, a crime which is paid with death.
One cold night they decided that this was the night, they ran towards the fence. Park was first. The second his body touched the fence he was electrocuted to death. Sheen, who didn't know right from wrong, used his 'friend's' body  to pass through a hole Park's body created when it electrocuted.
Out in the world Sheen saw things he couldn't even imagine. He saw the profusion and was amazed.
Sheen Dong Hoyk is a lucky man, but not like him there are so many people who live in North Korea in the force camps and fight for their lives every single day. They are humiliated by the soldiers and tortured just for fun, and no one gets involved, no state activates for a change, and stops this horror.
This situation reminds me a lot of the situation in the holocaust 70 years ago, in which it took a lot of time for the states around to get involved. These situations prove the thing that none of us wants to admit, ant that is that each and every one of us takes care only for himself and does not activate too quickly if it doesn't concern him directly.

The Holocaust Memorial Day

Hello to all of my readers,
Today I would like to write about the Holocaust Memorial Day.
About a week ago we notified the Holocaust  Memorial Day, in which we dedicate our thoughts to the poor 6,000,000  Jews who were murderd during the holocaust only because of their religion  and beliefs.
In 1933 Adolf  Hitler was democratically chosen to be the prime minister pf Germany. After world war 1 the condition in Germany wasn't good. Hitler promised his nation that he would make things better and improve the poor economical situation and also "clean" his country from the inferior race.
When he was elected he started to throw sanctions on the Jews. He forbid them to get into a movie theater, go to the public park or ride the tram. The sanctions became worse and worse and then, in 1939 Germany started to conquer the states around and in each state they conquered they caged the Jews in ghettos.
For 5 and a half years the Nazis massacred the Jews as if they were animals.
Finally, in 1945 the war ended, the Natis were defeated by the Russians and the Jews got free.
Every year, when the holocaust Memorial Day comes I can't stand the thought about those poor people. I keep thinking about how unfair all of this was and about these brave, lucky people who did manage to survive those horrors and to continue with their lives. I know they are scarred forever, literally, but they are the proof that a man can rise from the ashes and build a life even after this kind of disaster.

Purim

Purim is great holliday which i love to celebrate both at school and outside.
Every year at school the kids come dressed up with their costumes.
Later each class gathers, tells about their costumes and the kids exchange their package delivary With each other.
Then we go outside and enjoy the activities. Every year the school brings  food booths and photographers to capture the moments.
There's also a custome compatiton and the winner gets a prize.
Every year the kids from th12th grade dress up together and decorate the school to match their custome, for example, this year the 12th graders dressed up as smurfs and decorated the school like the smurfs' village. In the middle of the festival they entered the school and danced around. All of the kids watched at them and were impressed by the custome.

This year I have dicited to drees up as Pocahontas with a friend of mine, we both tied ribbons on our foreheads and bracelates and accessories which matched the custome's idea.

What I love about Purim is the preparations towards the school's festival/

The Camp

On passover vacation i went to camp on behalf of  'Bne HaMoshavim'  with my friends.
On friday morning on 6:40 a.m. we got on the bus and drove to Haruvit forest.
There we walked in a beautiful trail for a very long time.
In the afternoon we arrived to the place we were staying at.
In the next morning we got up and did a trail on which we naigated on our own.
On the way we stopped in stations and prformed missions. It was a lot of fun.
In the night we went to an observance which concluded all those two days and stressed the message of the trip which was to keep our planet clean and well preserved.
On the third and last day we went on a bicycle trip around Hruvit forest. We got to see the view wich was stunning. By noon we got on the buses and went home.
The trip was a lot pf fun and I liked it a lot.
